Viv is taking the Himalaya Challenge
Story
I needed a challenge and so I'm taking the trip of a lifetime.
I'm also raising much needed funds for my chosen charity, Oncology Children's Foundation (OCF) to assist them with the vital work they do fighting childhood cancers with the lowest survival rates. Please help me make a difference.
Middle Ridge Traverse Challenge: To get into the spirit of my challenge I recruited a handful of family and friends for a day of trekking in Lamington National Park.
The day was a great success, and I would like to say thankyou to all who participated and to all who supported us! It was a day of adventures, challenges and most of all, fun. We may have taken a few wrong turns but we always found our way back, thanks to our trusty ‘guide’. It was a solid 10 hours of walking (or maybe more correctly 6 hours walking and 4 hours sliding down mountain slopes on our backsides!), either way we all made it in the end feeling pretty satisfied with ourselves! Awesome day, thanks all.
